It was a press conference for Habitat for Humanity announcing the completion of another phase of Haultain Crossing. Cool org, cool project. After shooting the typical podium moments, I snapped a super wide pic of a woman and two kids as they stood on the steps of their home. It was a bad photo, but just in case, I went to meet the family and see if they'd let me run their names with it. As I spoke to Deko, it was clear that her daughters were more fluent in English, and soon Zara and Montaz took over the conversation. We had a nice chat, and I snuck this photo during the chat.
